Be Kind to Yourself During This Pandemic

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope that everyone has a great week. For those who’ve had a hectic week because of having to work plus go to school, take care of the kids, or all of the above, I hope that you can relax with a nice glass of wine, a bottle of beer, or a hot cup of tea. I was really, REALLY stressed and sad this week. I felt like I wasn’t doing enough for my side hustles because I was exhausted.

Work has become hectic. I am working on four projects, and there might be one added soon. Also, my MBA class ends. I have a final project and final exam, which I will be studying for after I post this blog. I felt as though my dreams of starting this side hustle was just going down the drain because I just didn’t have time and energy. I realized that even if I’m not putting a hundred percent, I am doing enough, and it is okay. I have many responsibilities right now, and so I should understand that it’s just me. I don’t want to burn out, so I need to realize that I need to slow down.

I am not Superwoman. I never said I was, and so I have to be a little bit nicer to myself. If I can’t put all my energy into really focusing on this blog and creating videos due to work, school, and kids, then I need to be kinder to myself and realize that I am trying my hardest. This is especially true during this pandemic that my energy is already a bit low. For this side hustle, I want to create courses and digital products that focus on project management. However, it needs to wait until I can focus on work and school. As GaryVee said in one of his live sessions to a man who was having the same problem. Slow down, do your best, and don’t be so hard on yourself. I will eventually get there. I need to focus on not stressing myself out.
School ends in December. I created processes and routines that are helping me streamline some of my workload. I have also started delegating more.

For all of you who feel like you’re not doing enough, and feel you are failing in one or more parts of your life, be a little nicer to yourself. You are doing the best you can. It will be okay. Relax. Watch your favorite show, read your favorite book, take a nice walk, or sit down in your backyard.
Do whatever you can to just relax because we can go a thousand miles per hour, but we also need to just slow down and just be at zero.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend. You get to spend time alone with family and friends and just take care of yourselves.

You can slow down and just do what you can. Don't feel you have to be a super person
