Just got the news! Due to Hurricane Idalia, schools and daycares are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. This means I will be working with a toddler at home. Gio is now three, and even though he has calmed down since the last time I had to work with him, he still needs careful attention and supervision.

My son left today for basic training. I made it m

My son left today for basic training. I made it my goal to keep it together when he leaves. I almost did until he hugged me and said he loved me. Fortunately, I didn't cry uncontrollably until he was out of the car.

As parents, it's our job to love, nurture, and support our kids. Also, to prepare them for the outside world. I tried my best to do that for my son, and I hope I succeeded.

I know he'll do great at basic training and AIT. He picked a great MOS (25U) and I know he'll do well.

It has been a long week.

I'm working out and watching my portions so I can lose 30 pounds before my sister's 50th this summer. Have you seen my sister?! She is beyond hot, and I want to be sure that I can look my best. I've been sore all week, but I know it'll be worth it.

It's probably because he's coming out of an illness and growing. Gio's move has been pretty craptastic.

Work has been crazy like it always is, and I'm up for a promotion that involves travel. Now I'm trying to figure out how to do that with a toddler.

My Etsy shop is going to sell physical stickers, so I'm researching the Cricut and Silhouette, plus all the other stuff that goes with it.

It's not even Friday yet! However, it's all exciting things (minus Gio being in a bad mood), and I know it will all work out in the end even if there are things that do not work out the way they want.
