  • This morning I woke up at 8 am, which is way later than I usually wake up. I stayed in bed for a bit cuddled up with this one.

You can sometimes deviate from your morning routine especially if you have a cute little dog like mine. 🥰

  • Got new eyeglasses! They are computer progressive and my eyes feel much better than my old ones.

Found out that I have Optic Drusen Eye that cause side vision loss but fortunately, it’s rarely serious so have a follow-up appointment with an Opthalmologist for that.

Take care of your eyes everyone and have a happy weekend!

  • Tell me you love what you do... without actually telling me you love what you do. I’ll go first: Today, I’m busy going to numerous meetings, unexpectedly having to present to multiple clients, making sure the team members had what they needed, and responding to many emails.

Life isn’t always glamorous as a Program Manager, but it’s worth it, especially since I can help my team and clients!

Now, let’s play a game… drop a hint in the comments of an unglamorous task you’re working on, and I’ll try to guess what you do!

  • Today is a day to honor all the men and women who have given their lives for us to have the freedoms that we have now and continue to have.

From Britannica.com:

Memorial Day, formerly Decoration Day, honors those who have died in the nation’s wars. It originated during the American Civil War when citizens placed flowers on the graves of those who had been killed in battle.

In 1868 John A. Logan, the commander in chief of the Grand Army of the Republic, an organization of Union veterans, promoted a national holiday on May 30 “for the purpose of strewing with flowers or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion.”

After World War I, as the day came to be observed in honor of those who had died in all U.S. wars, its name changed from Decoration Day to Memorial Day.

Since 1971 Memorial Day has been observed on the last Monday in May. Memorial Day is observed with the laying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery and by religious services, parades, and speeches nationwide.

Flags, insignia, and flowers are placed on the graves of veterans in local cemeteries.
  • Had a great time with my daughter and grandson relaxing on the beach. The water was amazing, and I was so glad that I finally got the kite to fly. 😎

Hopefully, everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with loved ones.
