I do see that at work when I am more assertive, I do get more respect from the men in my company than when I am unsure of myself. However, I am not sure if it's closing the gender gap as much as what researchers found.  However, it could be that I am living in my head and the reality is that it is. ⁠

For a while, I was pretty nervous about having my For a while, I was pretty nervous about having my grandson start daycare. However, I decided in November that it was time. He was six months old, and he was becoming more alert and mobile. My job became a bit more demanding due to some business development efforts that I was participating in. Additionally, I was in my final MBA class. Therefore, I decided that it was time to find the right daycare. ⁠

1. I am originally from Panama but came to the DC area when I was around seven. 
2. Huge foodie 
3. Traveling is something that I love to do 
4. When I was a teenager, I wanted to be an Interior Designer. I planned to go to a school in California to do it. However, my mom didn’t allow me to. This has taught me never to hinder my kids’ dreams.
4. Since I was 22, I have always had a five-year plan. Before I had kids, I was all over the place. When I got pregnant with my son, I knew that it was time to get my sh*t together. 
5. It’s been only a couple of years that I have finally embraced my curly hair. 
6. I love playing video games. I remember playing Atari games with my older sister, and then the Playstation with my younger one. I now talk about video games with my son, and it has helped us connect. 
7. I still have the first book I ever cherished called “Under the Trees and Through the Grass.” I read it to my kids and now my grandson. 
8. My biggest phobias are bugs and heights. 
9. In my twenties and early thirties, I was a “Party Girl.” For some reason, when I hit 34-35, I wasn’t into it anymore. 
10. I can’t keep a plant alive. 
11. I love stationery, pens, and paper. 
12. I prefer giving gifts rather than receiving them.
13. Brunch is my favorite meal. I think it has to do more with being with family and friends while enjoying a meal together. 
14. Singing is something that I do everywhere I go.

16. Tulips are my ultimate favorite flowers. I remember the peace they would bring me when I was on campus cause George Mason University had them all over. It also signifies the end of Winter.
17. I am raising my grandson.  It was a total shock when my teenage daughter said she was pregnant.  I felt so many emotions. I was disappointed in myself, embarrassed, angry, and sad. However, I knew that I had to do what was best for my grandson, who was innocent in all of this. It’s been tough, but I am blessed to have him in my life.

The certificates will have lessons, labs, and quizzes on Coursera, and it's supposed to take about six months. Google is expecting that these certificates will replace four-year college degrees.  Also, it will help people who are underrepresented Americans. ⁠
